MoroccoSmos was founded by local surfers who grew up on the Atlantic coast. We created a warm, simple space where travelers from all over the world can learn to surf, eat fresh local food, and feel completely at home.
OUr story
The idea started with two lifelong friends who spent every single day in the ocean. One was a national surf champion who knew every wave along the coast, and the other was passionate about hospitality and bringing people together.
They realized that many big surf camps felt crowded and cold. They wanted something different: a real surf house in Tamraght where guests are treated like close friends, groups stay small, and surfing stays fun and safe.
Today, MoroccoSmos is the result of that dream. We share our local knowledge, chase clean waves every morning, and sit around the dinner table together every night under the Moroccan stars.

Meet Our Team
Hassan is the heart behind all our outdoor expeditions. From trekking the freshwater gorges of Paradise Valley and scaling high-altitude trails to Lac d’Ifni, to leading rock climbing routes and exploring secret caves, he handles every adventure from start to finish. Back at the camp, he brings the same energy to the kitchen, cooking up authentic Moroccan meals for guests after a day on the trails or in the waves.
A native of Agadir and former Moroccan Surf Champion (2010), Abdel has spent a lifetime mastering the coastline. With years of competitive experience and deep local spot knowledge, he guides surfers of all levels—dialing in your technique, boosting your confidence, and taking you to the best breaks on any given swell.
